Christ's Shore is a Christ-centered organization focused on helping today's youth explore their faith, become comfortable with it, and eventually reach out with their talents and gifts to share that faith. It is our belief that many youth have faith that Christ is their savior and their strength. The problem is that they do not feel as though anyone else feels that way outside of their own faith groups. It is our goal and mission to bring youth together so that they can see for themselves that many, many others feel just as they do. It is our prayer that through these experiences they will feel more comfortable going out into the world declaring, instead of hiding, their beliefs and their faith. Is Christ's Shore Inc. a legitimate organization? Yes. We have been in existence since 2004. We are organized and positioned to present conferences and other programs to aid people in their faith walk. A very dedicated group of professionally minded volunteers have work tirelessly to put on top flight programs for the youth and adults alike. We have IRS tax exempt status and the corporation is registered with the state of Wisconsin. What is the focus of Christ's Shore 2009? The theme for the 2009 conference is "Share the Joy." The scripture for this is 1 Thessalonians 2:8 NLT. Where we learn we need to love God's people so much that we will share the joy of knowing Christ with them with everything we have. We will be working through 3 phases during the day. Learning to have comfort with our faith and we should use that faith. How Christ shared the news during his ministry. Then end with aid in how we can share the Good News in our everyday lives. What will the day of the conference be like? The day is broken into 3 sessions. The morning session will be stressing that the source of the "JOY" is found in God. The scripture and main points will be presented in various ways, and to break things up, we will have a house band that will be playing familiar contemporary worship music for all to sing along with. In addition, we will have 2 different inspirational speakers making presentations and time for small group discussions. At mid-day variety of lunch options will be available at reasonable costs right on site. Supper will also be available in this manner. The afternoon will have 2 sessions. These session's will be structured the same as the morning session. They will speak to the youth about Christ's ministry here on earth and how they can take the lessons of from that ministry and apply to how they can "Share the Joy" in their lives. After the supper break, there will be a concert featuring a mainline band. What type of events are planned for the day of the event? A typical conference is filled with speakers, discussion time, multi-media, praise & worship, and drama. The program is split with a lunch and dinner break featuring live music, food and plenty of games and activities along with an opportunity to talk to the speakers on a personal level. After the dinner break the youth are rewarded with a live concert featuring a current Christian band. Participants should look forward to a fun, thought-provoking spiritual experience of a lifetime! What denomination is influencing the teachings of Christ's Shore? Christ's Shore's mission is painstakingly focused on being interdenominational. Doctrine, dogma, and church policy are unique to each of us and is not part of our focus. The focus is on Christ and how our strength and our hope lay with him. How is Christ's Shore funded? Christ's Shore Youth Worship Conference is funded by Christ's Shore Inc. Christ's Shore Inc. is a tax exempt charitable organization that is funded by fund raisers, donations and admissions to the events that they sponsor. Would someone come to my church to talk about and answer questions about Christ's Shore? Yes. Every 2 years is the plan right now. Will Christ's Shore be doing anything other than conferences? Yes. We plan to sponsor top flight Christian concerts and other Christ focused presentation. We will be reaching out to not only the youth, but the older generation as well. |
